Since early May there has been a Merlin actively hunting and flying in the the
south end of Brampton.
It is calling many times each day as hunts in a area of half a sq kilometer.
The Merlin flutters above the large silver maples calling in a attempt to flush
song birds from their high perches and then gives chase, quite a fascinating
hunting tactic to watch. This activity seems to peak from 7 to 9 pm as song
birds rest in the late day sunlight in the tree tops.
Location area is # 27- 31 Melville Cres, Brampton
