There is a flock of 120+ whimbrel on the west end of the south beach across from Erieau. We saw them from the boat but they should be visible from the Erieau side of the channel.
Take exit for Hwy 40 to Blenheim. At the traffic light turn right, go through town and continue to Erieau Rd. Turn left. At the stop sigh in Erieau turn right and follow it to the channel.
