Ontbirds subscribers,
As of 3:00 p.m. the Glossy Ibis was still actively feeding in Sobey's Pond in
Whitby. Pleased to report that both birders and photographers have been very
well-behaved in keeping their distance and allowing the bird to feed in peace.
As if in reward, the bird has flown around right over the crowd of observers a
couple of times.
Directions: Take Hwy 401 to exit 410 (Brock St.). Exit and go south to
Victoria St. W. Turn right (west) and go 4 blocks to Gordon St. Turn right
(north) and go 1 block north and then turn left (west) onto Nordeagle Avenue.
Go west one block on Nordeagle Avenue to and park on Nordeagle Ave. just east
of Montecorte St. Sobey's Pond is on the southeast corner of Nordeagle Avenue
and Montecorte St.
