Birders:
For anyone wanting to add Eurasian Wigeon to their winter list, and combine it with an attempt to also add Western Sandpiper still present at the Blenheim Sewage Lagoons as per Steve Charbonneau's recent post, the Eurasian Wigeon which has been present for several weeks continues to be seen at Rondeau Provincial Park. It consistently is seen between the decommissioned pier and the park entrance, from the north end of Water Street. The number of American Wigeon and Gadwall it associates with is dropping, but for now, the EUWI seems relatively content. Directions: from Hwy 401, take exit 101 south on to Chatham-Kent Road 15. Follow this road south right to the park. (Park permit required.)
