Festival of Flight May 16th Morning Report

A relatively slow morning here in Rondeau after a fantastic day yesterday.
Birds are in few numbers throughout the park.

The birds that are here are sticking low or are on the ground when feeding and
in result are giving excellent views.

The Summer Tanager continues to be seen on Water St south of the Marsh Trail
parking lot. An Acadian Flycatcher was seen on Spicebush Trail. Canada Warbler
as well as several other species are being seen at the beginning of Harrison
Trail near the Pony Barn. Yellow-billed Cuckoos are also being found on the
Maintenance Loop as well as the Pony Barn.

The campsite is closed due to flooding and will remain closed until further
notice. Many of our trails require rain boots to complete due to the high water
table.

Join us from May 1st until the 20th for the Festival of Flight!
