Seen at 11:45 am this morning on the EAST side of Huff Road and in the extreme south east corner of the muddy field immediately south of the barns and sheds, where there is a pooling of water. Sitting on top of a fence post preening. Photographed.
Huff Road was exceptionally quiet and still. No wind. Slightly overcast. No cattle present on either side of the road. Stopped to meet birder Ron V. of Ottawa who was scoping a west field further south on Huff Road. He was unaware of the egrets presence.
