The description, below, remains accurate, and the cattle egret was seen at 1:15
pm today, slowly walking from cow to cow to dine on flies. White against white
is a bit tricky, so be patient and wait for a time if you do not first spot it.
It may be behind a cow or down in a depression where it cannot be seen or
perhaps sometimes not there at all.
Huff Road is west of Brighton running south off of Hwy. 2, and also runs north
off of the Lakeshore Road accessed from the bend in the road as you head north
out of gates at Presqu'ile Park. Location is south of the CNR/CPR tracks and
opposite the Reddom farm.

The Cattle Egret was still present mid-morning and early afternoon with a
small herd of cattle on the west side of Huff Road. It would vanish for
short periods when it walked behind the cows (which were lying down) but
would eventually reappear between or in front of them. The cattle were very
obliging in letting the egret pluck flies from their body including from
their faces near their eyes.
Huff Road is just west of Brighton; the cattle were across the road from
house #315.
