I've been using bash for years and years, but my original shell
was csh/tcsh. Started using bash because it uses GNU Readline.

I've been playing with zsh but yes, that ends in tears (in much
the same manner as my playing with mutt does: over a decade's
time using 'pine' and my fingers are automatic mail reading
        machines.
