Fine, be that way. Does Milton's computer use LILO/GRUB or the windoze boot-loader? The windoze boot process may be pulling some disruptive shit on the network as it attempts to get network information. Does it happen no matter which OS he boots into? Have you tried using a different boot process on his box? Is Milton's box static IP or DHCP? Have you tried swapping the switches with each other? Have you tried putting another box on your switch and seeing whether the same thing happens to that new box? Have you tried putting Milton's box on the other switch to see whether it happens over there? We need some more info here, dude-lar.
