Hello! Just to answer my own question.. You can use standard PCMCIA card drives in a Catalyst switch.
Instead of just referring to it as slot0: or disk0:, I had to specifically refer to it as 1/disk0: which then allowed me to format it in the switch, and my PC could still read the formatted card, so i could then stick my OS images onto the card and get them onto the switch. I thought that was me had cracked the problem. However the new image is 15MB, and the switch only has 44kb of Flash left!!! argffgfgfg!! :) I'll let you know how it goes.. thor :------------------------------:----------------------------------------: : Highpoint Lowlife Records -- indie/electronic noise since 01 ---: : http://www.highpointlowlife.com/ -------------------------------------: :------------------------------: On Thu, 10 Nov 2005, thorsten Sideb0ard wrote: > > Anyone here used a PCMCIA/PC Card with a Catalyst Switch? > > I'm trying to use a standard PC ATA card, and not a Cisco branded one, > however i'm not sure if its possible or not.
