The problem with this is that your merchant bank has no control over
it. The issuing bank on the card does. And for non-swiped
transactions, you really have no way to prevent or stop it from
happening.
Consequently, we do not accept Visa/MC for domain registrations, only
accepting American Express. If the customer wants to use their
Visa/MC they must do so via Paypal. And we tell the customer why,
that the Visa/MC banks have anti-merchant policies that are prejudiced
against the online merchant that permit customers to fraudulent
reverse charges with little to no recourse. We then provide them
links to apply for Amex, and instructions on how to make their payment
via Amex, Paypal, etc.
