Hi Steve!

I hope you don't mind - I cc'd this back to the list so as to potentially
answer these questions for others. Also, I had to correct an error. :)

First, I was wrong on the app fee - it was $50, not $199. The $199 was the
Signio setup/API fee. Monthly gateway fee $30.

They handle all of the other processors if Signio is not your preference.

No minimum.

Chargeback fee: $20 :(

Perhaps the most significant component of this agreement is that it can
easily be cancelled with 30 days notice. I didn't want to get caught up in
an annual agreement if I didn't like their performance. :)

Cheers!

deal

Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it. There are a number of others
that I'm considering as well. In the event that I do go with ProcessUSA,
I'll let you know. If you don't hear from me again, then that means I went
with someone else. ;-)

Can you tell me what their minimum fee is? Also, do you have to pay an
Authorizenet setup fee and monthly gateway fee? If so, how much are you
paying for those?

And what is the chargeback fee?

Thanks
Steve

I can highly recommend:

ASSOCIATED MERCHANT SERVICES
[EMAIL PROTECTED] / http://ProcessUSA.com

Our deal was 2.2%, 25 cent processing fee, $8.50 monthly statement fee. App
fee was $199 (refundable if not approved). Most importantly, Richard was
very helpful, and walked us through the entire process. I definitely felt
like he was our advocate from beginning to end.

If you contact him, please mention that Michael David sent you. :)

Cheers!

Subject: looking for a good US merchant account/credit card processing deal

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good merchant account/credit card processing gateway?
It seems that authorizenet is a pretty popular gateway on this list.

I saw one place that had a 2.15% discount rate + 30 cent fee (AVS included),
$20 monthly minimum and $10/month statement fee, but then they charge $495
as a one time fee for authorizenet "software" and a $15/month gateway fee.

Are there better deals than that? Any places that don't charge onetime
setup fees?

My concern right now is primarily regarding refund policies. It's still not
clear if it is possible to enforce a no-refund policy with any bank, or if
as a merchant, we are required to provide a refund within 30 days (i'm not
talking about chargebacks) no matter what our site says.

I don't need any kind of shopping card or stuff - I'm quite capable of
dealing with the realtime authorization coding myself.

Thanks for any leads.
