Seeing as we're all pretty busy, perhaps a wiki for the Blackbox website
would be a good idea. Content would come in freely from anybody who wishes
to contribute. RoX.sf.net has their entire site turned into a wiki and they
seem to be doing quite well.

I've put together a page layout a bit more suitable for a wiki, and I'll
be posting it somewhere as soon as I've made it into an actual image of
what the wiki would look like.

I'm currently researching PHP-based wiki's out there to find the most
suitable one. Proposals and accounts of personal experiences are welcome.
So far I have my heart set on one of the following:

- PHPWiki: http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/
  Live example: http://RoX.sf.net/

- PMWiki: http://www.pmwiki.org/
  Live example: http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php

- Wikki Tikki Tavi: http://tavi.sourceforge.net/

Questions:

1. Is this a good idea? I think so, but perhaps I'm missing something.

2. Would it be better to store the pages as flat files or in MySQL?
I believe some if not all of the above wikis allow you to do either.

3. Should be base all the site in wiki or make the wiki a separate
section? Personally I think we should use the wiki's side benefit of
serving as a content management system and build the entire site with
it. Plus, we don't have much "static" content that would make for a
big site we don't want altered. Ultimately, I think the wiki allows
to apply restrictions to certain sections.

4. If you have more experience with wikis: how complicated is it to
prevent people from spamming it?
