Quoting zoloto <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > wiki? sorry I'm not up on my jargon
See this definition, from Wikipedia, which is itself a wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki Basically, it's a website where visitors can freely edit the pages. All changes are tracked and stored, so any past state can be recovered. A wiki usually puts fate in its visitors to respect the site topic and not to enter junk. Most of the time this works, because there's absolutely no challenge in messing with a wiki. You have to be a REAL jerk to do that; it's like kicking a 5yr old to get her candy. I'll monitor this thread, naturally, in case anybody has useful suggestions about wikis and the upcoming Blackbox wiki. I'll be posting updates about how the things are going to the blackbox-website mailing list, since that's the appropriate place for them. You can subscribe if you want to give me your feedback, or you can simply read the messages on the Web: http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=40696 Once I have a HTML snapshot of how the site will look I will post it here too so people can offer suggestions. This will happen in a day or two. -- Ciprian Popovici -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] List archives: http://asgardsrealm.net/lurker/splash/index.html Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
