Hello. I'm new to this list, but have been trying Blackbox off and on for a
while now and have recently compiled and started using Blackbox alpha 60.0
(March 31, 2000 update). I have a couple of questions/concerns.
X memory usage:
It seems that if I use Blackbox for just a couple of hours the X server
memory usage is about 5-10Mb higher than other window managers I've tried
(Sawmill, WindowMaker, IceWM). This is even after setting session.cacheMax to
0 and session.cacheLife to 0 in my .blackboxrc file. There was a note about
this in the archives, but I thought the solution was to change these
settings.
BBkeys not working after last window closed:
I saw a reference to this on the mailing list archive and would like to
add that it always happens to me, too. I have Ctrl-Alt-Left and
Ctrl-Alt-Right mapped to next-workspace and prev-workspace, and they
don't work if I close the last window in a workspace. They do work again
once I focus a window.
I'm using RedHat 6.0 on two different computers (with different X
servers), and the symptoms are the same on each one.
I'm running XFree86 3.3.5.
I'd appreciate any insights into these issues. Thanks.
