I am having similar problems with X memory usage is there a solution?

FWIW, I've wondered about this as well. Running Blackbox, I've noticed X
memory usage can climb up over 40MB pretty easily, but with WindowMaker
it usually doesn't get higher than the 20MB range. Considering that I
currently only have 96MB of RAM on this machine, it's kind of an issue
sometimes (especially when running Netscape for a while, along with
something like RealPlayer). Does anyone know what causes this
phenomenon?
