Please post in plain-text.. At anyrate, you can fix
the xterm problem by editing
/usr/local/share/Blackbox/menu
You will see something like this..
[exec] (xterm) {xterm -ls -fg white --bg black}
This should be after the comments in menu file, you
can use the above to have a black background and
white text.
