It seems that Blackbox has a rather general progression
problem. Whenever someone makes any sort of suggestion (which may or
may not be bad) it is approached in several ways:
First of all, a few people will say they like it. Then a few
people will say it sucks. Then, a whole lot of people will rant about
how features suck and how Blackbox is already perfect.
It is not that I do not agree, keeping Blackbox without bloat
/is/ good. I first started using Blackbox because I had limited
resources available. However, it seems like a lot of the attitude is
generally lacking in some regards. Perhaps that is because the list is
unmoderated? With that in mind, the list has surpisingly decent
content. (Comparing to how other lists would degrade without
moderation.. perhaps my statement is self-conflicting there.)
In closing, perhaps you should all just keep a more open
mind. Think before you speak. Be kind to others, or at least more
reasonable in your responses. If they end up too negative, do not
bother sending them. That, in the end, would speed up progression and
keep things going in a more pleasant manner.
