Why do you have a problem with people wanting a window manager that is
small and fast? Looking back to the 40.x series, the point at which I
started using blackbox, there were enough features to do what was
necessary but not a whole lot else. When new releases came out, they
might have new features, but odds are the new release was faster than the
old one. People have been asking for features on this list ever since I
joined it two years ago. People have also wondered since that time why
people give them a hard time for suggesting features.

You seem to want features _and_ a small and fast window manager. Those
two things are not mutually exclusive, but close. In the 6x.x series,
blackbox has added a large number of features and as a result, crashes
more and uses more memory for me than it ever did before. Granted, I use
a few of these features, but does anyone really use them all?
Why moderate this list? I am on plenty of other mailing lists, none are
moderated. What would be the point of moderation, weeding out people who
like blackbox the way it is or those who want more features than E?

I do not to plan to keep an open mind about new features. The reason I
use blackbox is because its feature set is limited, which keeps it
fast. It appears there are plenty of people who use it for different
reasons and want more features. I hope these people don't win out. The
progression you speak of is exactly the kind of thing I would like to
avoid.
