Hmm... Blackbox menues are in my case structured from the debs (the
debian menu management is great btw.) since I only use the
menues when I try to find a program...

For all my other needs I've got bbkeys key traps to start the
normal programs (vim, yes vi is the savior of the planet, a shell
command to compile etc. etc.).

Though one thing I would need (this is prolly discussed in this 
list before) is the ability to resize (not just max/min) and move
windows with the keyboard... could this functionalitybe implemented in bbkeys?
When I'm in development mode I really never want to touch the mouse so
that is one thing I would like to be able to do.

On the workspace issue I say that one workspace for watching logs,
two for full size vim windows, and one for x-terms ;)..

Just my contribution to the on-topicisation..

hmm.. and really the devel env of Linux is what you could expect
to find in any unix system.
