Howdy Folks,
I, myself, have no need for any added functionality in either bbkeys or
bb itself. I use only three workspaces so I use my left windows key to
cycle forward through my workspaces. With only three, I find it easier
to hit that key twice to get to the previous workspace then to think
which of two keys to press. Despite my minimalist setup, I do say that
I was surprised at the limited selection of possible actions to choose
from in bbkeysconf. And I recognize that many people with unique needs
could use more.
Might you tolerate my request for a better understanding of how bbkeys
works? I imagine a unit waiting in memory with a list of key
combinations to watch for, a list of actions that go along with them and
instructions on how to watch, how to wait and how to act. I realize
that there must be a reasonable limit to how many possible actions that
bbkeysconf can set up, but why should it make any difference to bbkeys
how many possible actions there are? So long as it is capable of
handling the length of the active list, of course.
And I finish with a small request for Jeff. As I understand it there is
no separate color choice for the depressed, unfocused button. Not
uncommonly, I have a normally small window maximized behind a focused
smaller window. That one-eyed window sure looks goofy.
Thanks,
- jim
