Are you sure thats really the workspaces menu, or might it be the toolbar?
Also, my guess is your mouse isn't working properly or isn't configured
correctly. Even if blackbox can't find your menu file, it still prints a
default one on right click. Check your X config, as well as how your
pointer buttons are mapped (xmodmap).

Like I said above, this doesn't sound like a blackbox problem. Does your
mouse work correctly in other window managers?

ctrl-alt-backspace. There are really very few problems in unix which
require rebooting.
