Hmm, that sounds like an interesting project. I may be interested in checking 
out such a project, and contributing some code, but I'm not sure  perl would 
be the best lang to use. Maybe C or C++? C++ may be the best choice, since BB 
is coded in C++, and that way you could easily access the objects in the BB 
code.
