you're right about this app being unintuitive but its honestly one of
the most useful tools i have seen on any computer in my life. i know
that seems like an exaggeration but for people like myself that use
the computer like a soldier uses a swiss army knife (always and for
everything), this thing has become invaluable. i do everything and in
fact i listed it for someone else on the forums and will repeat it
here:

- Delicious bookmark launcher: the value of delicious has increased
substantially for me ever since using this QS plugin and I have
finally found a way of centralizing my bookmarks across computers and
browsers. Delicious is great but with QS it is beyond a doubt the best
bookmark service. I am hoping that plugin never breaks in the future
though.
- Moving files: I find myself doing more of this than I expected with
QS and skipping the finder. I will often get a file in 'downloads'
after completing and will want to put it in another folder for more
permanent storage. I do this with a quick cmd-esc (that pulls the
selected file, files or folder into QS's object pane/window and
activates it without needing to seperately invoke QS) then tab and
type M for 'move files' and then tab again and select the destination
folder and bam its there.
- Airport On/Airport Off: I can do this quickly and smoothly without a
hitch. I also have a script called 'blue toggle' that I invoke by
typing 'btog..' and it switches the BT on and off. I used to hate
having to mouse over to the top right and adjust these all the time.
- Address book plugin: makes all my contacts easily at hand to send
email and files directly to via Apple Mail or any other mail program
you have set as the default. you can even select multiple recipients
at once.
- Calculator: this is handy from time to time to do quick math. invoke
QS in text mode and then type the expression (e.g. 6 * 45.5) and then
tab and type 'cal...' that will bring up calculate. the really cool
thing is you get the answer in a new QS window that you can then use
as a factor in your next calculation and on an on.
- Services menu plugin: The services menu (found under any
applications main menu across the mac OS) provides 'services' from all
kinds of apps that support it but I would never have used them had it
not been for this plugin that makes them accessibly as actions via QS
directly. One tool that I used greatly with QS on tiger was
'dictionary' and it does not work anymore for some reason on Leopard
but the services menu plugin quickly solved that because there is a
new 'look up in dictionary' service that quicksilver can easily use to
find definitions, thesaurus entries, wikipedia info and more all in
one place using it.

I hope this gives you somewhat of a feel for what this app can do. I
also realize that this app may continue to be a niche tool for those
people that are averse to using the mouse (very few from what i have
seen) and want to do things quickly and without too much rummaging
around folders and menus.
