Here's a trick that I think is indispensable for using QS with music. I still miss the "Jump to track" functionality of the old Winamp and XMMS programs that I used back in the day, (I find it horrifying that no 'modern' music player save Winamp3 has implemented this) and thankfully this minimalist usage translates handily into QS. You need the iTunes plugin for this.
I set up a trigger: Ctrl-Cmd-J Item: Itunes->Browse Tracks Action: Search Contents. Activate the trigger and start typing and it should snap to matching track names. Neato! Amazing for when you know exactly what you need to hear, and want it to start playing without interrupting your activities.
