Is there a way to have an action to open a new window? for example. I

a way to invoke QS type "S" hit tab (or arrows) and select open new?

So many ways to answer...

If it worked a little better the User Interface Access plug-in gives you access to an applications menu. You could bring up Safari in the first pane, and use the Show Menu or Show Menu Items... actions to find the New Window action.

Someone else could describe to you how to write an applescript to send cmd-N to Safari, then you could invoke it via Quicksilver. Searching the group for applescript will probably find it.

My question is why use Quicksilver to bring up and empty window when you could use Quicksilver to:

- Bring up a bookmark in the 1st pane and use Open URL..
- Type an URL into the 1st pane and use Open URL...
- Use the Web Search plugin to do a search right from QS that will open in Safari

The above will open in new windows if in the Safari preferences General tab the "Open links from applications" is set to "in a new window"

For all of the above see the Web section of the manual for details.
