Is there any preferred way to run both versions side by side (B54 &
B56)? So far B54 has been working pretty well but there are some fixes
in the new builds that i am interested in checking out however i would
like to keep my existing install in tact if possible.

It's not available through Blacktree; these are totally unofficial
builds, and in fact you will need to disable automatic updates. New
builds are available at <http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-alchemy/
downloads/list>, but beware that there are likely to be new bugs
introduced in later builds (as you've probably seen from browsing this
forum).
The third pane mentioned in this thread has been fixed in b56a6 and I
haven't encountered any new bugs, but YMMV.

I have been looking for HOW to upgrade to b56. I have b54 (3815) and
when I try to "upgrade" QS tells me me it can't find one.
Thanks for your help.

I have been using and loving Quicksilver for years. I recently
upgraded to b56 (3823) and have not been able to get it to function
properly. Most of the issues appear when selecting an object,
specifying an action, and then trying to tab to the third pane to
specify the variable for the action. For instance, if I specify
"Currently Selection", tab over and select "Move To", I get
inconsistant behavior. Sometimes I can tab to the third pane, but
cannot type the destination (nothing appears), and sometimes I can't
tab to the third pane (the third pane never appears).
I have tried removing the com.blacktree.Quicksilver.plist and re-
creating the preferences. No dice. I've logged in as Root and get
the same behavior.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I feel like my
productivity has been taken away!
