I got the same problem with you. also QS b56a7 on Snow Leopard, nothing happens when I invoke the triggers.
Sometimes I cannot even see the "open with" action after select "current selection" at the first panel. I re-install the b54 version, the problem of this old version is cannot open the preference panel. Hope the next version of quicksilver can be more stable on Snow Leopard.
