Thanks for your answers. I read the whole post and followed the instructions but it's still not working. My problem is not to make selected text in an app to appear in the first pane of QS. It's not either to make the selected finder item to appear in the first pane. These things are working as expected. My problem is that the proxy object called "current selection" seems to be broken. Please try this : 1. select a file anywhere in the finder 2. invoke QS 3. type "current selection" in the first pane 4. type "move to..." in the second 5. type "desktop" in the third 6. hit enter When I do this, nothing happens (of course, the file should now be sitting on the desktop). This explains why triggers based on the "current selection" proxy object do not work. But I still don't know what to do to fix this... :(
Do you guys succeed to move files following the sequence described above? Do you succeed to do anything at all with "current selection" in the first pane? Thanks again for any help you could provide.
