I'm running the latest release build of Quicksilver (ß58 (3841)) on
10.6.4 and I ran into the issue where the shelf would pop up randomly.
 What fixed it for me was dragging the shelf off to the side.  Now,
the only time it shows up is when I hover near that edge or when I
activate the keyboard trigger.  Just FYI.
