I went back to B54 for now. I know it has major issues on 10.6.x (like
a blank "Preferences" window!, etc.), but for some reason the
forgetting the last search thing was driving me bonkers. Some kind of
OCD maybe?

When I get the change, I will post a bug report on the github. (And
maybe grab the source code for a little peek...)
