Jon, what do you mean by "first pane"? The first (left) pane within
the QS pop-up window that shows up when I hit the hot-key to activate
it?

I presume "actions" are the items that show up in the dropdown menu in
the QS pop-up window?cu

So right now Safari is the current app, I'm typing this reply. If I
hit ctrl-spacebar the QS window opens. I start typing "cu" and the
Current Application item shows up in its left pane, with the Safari
icon. In the dropdown menu beneath it, I see "Current Application"
item with the Safari icon next to it. I don't see any "Show Menu
Items" in the list. Then what do I do? Navigating to the right of this
just gives me a "Safari.app" item, and further navigation to the right
again gives me a bunch of safari-related items like History and
BookmarksBar, but no menu items.

What am I doing wrong, if it's possible to determine from what I've
written?

Thanks,
M
