Could you let me know what version of 1Password you are running? 1Password changed their login mechanism not too long ago. I updated the plugin to reflect this change, but it is possible that it does not work with 10.5.8
More specifically - does 10.5.8 have a version of Safari that uses extensions? (If you go Safari>Preferences is there an extensions tab?)
