For what it's worth, I've looked into this a bit more since it has been
annoying me a lot lately. Two things I have noticed:

* The problem seems to be with asynchronous loading of icons in the results
view
* If you turn of the results view in Preferences > Command > Show Other
Matches > Never it should solve the problems
* 10.7.2 is just terrible. It pretty much broke my old MacBook it was so
slow. Developer previews of 10.7.3 are much faster and the problem's almost
entirely gone (although still there a little bit)

Are you guys running 10.7.2 on old(er) Macs?
