Trying this out more I've noticed that the problem occurs when I use the 
hotkey trigger more than once to give a playing track the same rating.  The 
first time I rate a song I see track info pop up with the rating and the 
second time I rate the song with the same rating the track info pops up but 
the rating info (stars at the bottom of the track info popup) is gone.  
Once this occurs, using the "Show Playing Track" popup no longer displays 
the rating.
