Neither of those actions offers a 3rd pane. Maybe you’re thinking of
“Open With…”?
Now (for the last few months), QS brings me to PF and opens a new
window for the folder in Pane 1. I don't want to open a new window.
I use dual panes in PathFinder so reveal is nice to quickly bring up 2
different folders.
The plug-in hasn’t changed its behavior in quite a while, so most
likely something changed in Path Finder. If you look in the
“Browser” section of PF’s preferences, there’s a setting that I
think will allow you to control this behavior.
