Thanks Rob. The computer screen goes dark, the harddrive spins down, it's unresponsive, and it appears to be completely off. Except I can't restart immediately. To my untrained eyes, it's almost like it's hitting a temperature sensor limit that's triggering a shutdown or something. Not sure. I don't have the Extra Scripts plug-in installed; I run a pretty bare-bones Quicksilver.
I don't get how it could possibly be a software issue either. That's just what they told me at the Apple store. Unfortunately the guy who gave me my computer back wasn't the tech who worked on it either, so I wasn't able to really ask any questions from someone knowledgeable. It's a weird issue, I'm kind of thinking it might be just something they couldn't (or didn't want to) diagnose, so they blamed an application launcher.
