Etienne later corrected himself and showed that the code is handling those keys correctly, so there’s nothing to work around.
I just checked this problem in a test account and right ⇧ , ⌥ and ⌘ don't work either — but they do in a VM (same versions).
I don’t know what this could be, but I don’t think it’s Quicksilver. It works for me, left and right side, on the MBP built-in keyboard, as well as the external one I have connected.
