I think we should make the wording for /opt stronger, whilst still
allowing people to use /usr, and spell out why. Also, use ln -svfn for the
symlink instead of first removing /opt/rustc (I was not aware of that
option until Bruce pointed it out to me, I think it has educational
benefit). And explain that people should use a different prefix if
rebuilding.
Although I said I wasn't going to mention the problem re reinstalling the
same version after changing from system llvm to shipped llvm, I changed my
mind now we are using /opt, and spelled it out so that future readers can
see why we changed.
Committed at r21044, passing to Bruce to alter if he thinks I've overdone
it, or to close.
