I don't think Bruce has released the final version. Proper fix or not, the fix I'm thinking about putting in is to manually remove the files CUPS installs via instructions after 'make install'. This is a quick and dirty fix, but best we can do unless you want to do something "mighty quick" DJ, and create a patch. Let me know. I'm tired tonight so it would have to be tomorrow before I can commit anything.
