Guys,

You might have noticed that I have not committed anything recently. I'm
considering leaving the team (note: not going away in a huff or to spend
more time with my wife :-) - but thought I would air this first and get
your reaction.

On my normal system I don't build LFS in a standard way. I don't use
LFS-bootscripts, or for that matter, BLFS-bootscripts. I don't use
inetd, xinetd, SysVinit or Syslog either. As a window manager I prefer
OpenBox with PyPanel - Gnome and KDE are too big for me. As a
mailserver (MTA) I use XMail. The parts of BLFS that I can do properly
are thus a little limited. I built a standard system with GRONE to do
BLFS with, but I detest using it and begrudge the time needed to
understand how to configure it properly, KDE is even worse - far too
much working real estate for eye candy.

I look fairly often at BZ (BOOK/SVN/6.2 - NEW) and if I see anything
that I could do, by the time I've researched it, someone has done it.

I'm not up to researching the knotty problems (future). When there is a
release pending, I guess I can do some of the version increments, but my
experience is that others on the team quite often (and usually rightly)
criticise my decisions - this makes me unwilling to make the attempt
unless it's a very simple case. I'm not sure that there are many simple
cases anymore, at least not with Xorg going modular and gcc-4.

To put it simply, I just don't enjoy being an editor - and I'm
embarrased that I have not felt able to do more. Maybe I'm missing
something, so please help me make up my mind.

Richard.
