Cairo is what renders SVG in firefox for all platforms. Enable system cairo just uses the system version instead of the firefox internal one. This would be safe because firefox 1.5 uses the current stable cairo version 1.0.2. Cairo will soon be the rendering the entire firefox engine, graphics, interface, etc..
