I'm sorry, I should have clarified that better. It works fine with 6.8.2, but not with 7.0. I didn't mean to imply that the current instructions were incorrect. I remember having a similar problem with xf86config after 4.3 was released IIRC and it _was_ to do with the mesa drivers at that time (default to the DVI port). In this case, it loads all the video drivers fine and then finds the primary display at PCI:1:0:0 (correct), but the log goes no furthur...just wondered if anyone else had seen this behavior or better, how likely this is to be silly local issue (mesa is my current suspect, -DGLX_USE_TLS).
