Huh? Gimp-print-4.2 never seemed to work with my printer (an epson stylus 830u). The gimp-print 4.3 development series, and then gutenprint-5.0, did. (FWIW, 5.1 doesn't - the 830u is now regarded as 'old', the problem was reported against 5.1-rc). Are you getting tripped up by the need to build the gimp first (use --disable-print), and then build gutenprint (--with-gimp2 for 5.0, might not be needed with 5.1) ? Doing it like this, gutenprint provides the ppds (which is its main purpose these days), and also a print plugin for the gimp. I haven't built gimp-print since it became gutenprint, and I haven't built gimp-print-4.2 for somewhat longer, but I do manage to print from the gimp. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
