I would say, just go with 3.5.8 for BLFS 6.3. There a couple of packages having to be added to BLFS just to get KDE 4 running. I tried KDE 4.0 myself and it is like the KDE guys say: A stable API for third party application developers and some kind of technology preview. Currious users will find out by themselves how to build it. KDE has a wiki for that. Just my 2 cent. -- Christoph
