The gentoo guys applies a patch that fixes the UTF-8 issues in text mode. Alexander can you have a look on this? ------>%---- wget http://links.twibright.com/download/links-2.1pre33.tar.bz2 wget ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/gentoo/distfiles/links-2.1pre33-utf8.diff.bz2 tar xf links-2.1pre33.tar.bz2 cd links-2.1pre33 bzcat ../links-2.1pre33-utf8.diff.bz2 |patch -p1 cd intl && ./gen-intl && ./synclang # (to regenerate the language table) cd .. ./configure make ./links http://www.lenta.ru/ # <ESC> -> Setup -> Terminal Options and check the "UTF-8 I/O" box # <ESC> -> Setup -> Character Set and choose KOI8-RU # and while you have links running g www.in.gr # <ESC> -> Setup -> Character Set and choose "ISO 8859-7" ------>%---- Also entering text in web forms seems to work with an exception (I can't get an "μ", I take "υ" instead in VT mode). Randy, if tests are successful, I will try to find time to fix the page in the weekend (It's the carnival!) otherwise within the next week. -- http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/Hacking -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
