Let me add one more. The programs' responsibility for mounting changed between util-linux (LFS-6.3) and util-linux-ng (LFS-SVN), as well as between nfs-utils 1.0.x and 1.1.x. If I understand the picture correctly: * util-linux: NFS mount functionality is built into the "mount" program; * util-linux-ng: NFS mount functionality is no longer built in; * nfs-utils 1.0.x: no mount.nfs program provided, thus the regular "mount" program is supposed to be able to mount NFS by itself * nfs-utils 1.1.x: this program is provided and expected to be called by "mount" So it seems that the only non-working case would be new "mount" and old nfs-utils, but I am not sure here. Could you please describe in detail, what tests and with which software versions were done prior to updating the nfs-utils package in BLFS to 1.1.x? -- Alexander E.
