 I didn't update the book, but I did raise the ticket for 1.1.  I
have two directories of my own user's files on nfs, as well as
/sources.  When clfs, and later LFS, went over to util-linux-ng I
needed a 1.1.x version to be able to mount these directories.  The
first time, I got an obscure error message, something like
'/sbin/mount.nfs no such file', I think, from which google
eventually pointed me to the answer.

 After that, I tested a fresh LFS-6.3 system with 1.1.x and that
worked.

 So, I agree that new mount and old nfs-utils seems to be the only
broken combination.
