It is irrelevant. I think this kind of disussion is what slows BLFS down. We
have /opt-instructions for QT? Fine! We don't have them for GTK2? Fine!
Where is the problem? If someone feels that it is required to have GTK2 in
/opt, he may add (and hopefully further maintain) the instructions. Seems so
that for most people GTK2 in /usr is sufficient, thats fine and full-stop.
There should be nothing make us getting under pressure to follow those
selfmade standards. It costs time and energy which may be needed more on other
parts of the book.
