 No problem (apart from the fact that I'm still winding down and
watching my TiVo at 2:40 a.m. - all-nighters aren't good for my
attempts to get towards 'regular' hours :)

 I've got gdm installed on the old machine, so I can come back to it
but I've no particular *desire* to do that - I'd much rather be
trying to assemble my *other* new machine so that I can finally do
something useful from my own ToDo requirements.  Running from
/etc/inittab sounds sufficiently different to be interesting.
